Giacomo Calzolari is Professor of Economics at the European University Institute and fellow at Center for Economic Policy and Research. He has published in American Economic Review, Science, Rand Journal of Economics, Journal of Economic Theory, and Review of Financial studies. He is main editor of the International Journal of Industrial Organization. He has been conferred the Young Economist Award of the European Economic Association and the 2014-Best paper award by the Association of Competition Economics. He is member of the group of experts at DG-Competition of the European Commission. His research interests include industrial organization, microeconomic theory, competition policy, artificial intelligence, economics of regulation, banking regulation and supervision.
