Description

Argyro (Iro) Tsimpri raised in Kalavrita of Peloponesse, Greece. She has a degree in Political Science and Public Administration (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), an MBA EUROPEAN Business degree in Business Administration (University of Brighton) and a degree in Project Management (Dublin College). Since 1999, as the General Director of “ACHAIA – DEVELOPMENT AGENCY S.A.”, she has been responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of co-financed Programmes (LEADER, INTERREG, etc), implemented by the agency for the local authorities / stakeholders. Throughout her professional career, she has participated in numerous meetings and conferences, mainly concerning issues of rural development and regional policies. Among others, she has been a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Hellenic LEADER Network, representative and member of the National Rural Network (EAD), Representative of the Greek LAGs/Flags in the European LEADER association for Rural Development (ELARD), has a role as the National Coordinator for the National Campaign, within the European Rural Parliament (ERP). She is actively involved in actions related to the role of LAGs (LOCAL ACTION GROUPS - LEADER BODIES) and Multi-Stakeholder Development Companies, through sensitization actions, informing about the initiatives and actions regarding the upgrading - promotion of the region's identity, local products, and tourism, while actively participating in consultations and other synergies aiming projects ahead, on the next Programming Period 2021-2027.
