Description
Jan Knacksterdt is a human rights professional at Mercedes-Benz AG with a focus on Sustainability in procurement and supply chains. With a solid background in mining and geology, Jan is transferring his practical knowledge to focus on human rights in raw material supply chains.
In line with Mercedes-Benz's sustainability strategy, Jan works on the adaption of the UN Guiding Principles into the company's raw material supply chains, to comply with regulatory frameworks including the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LKSG), CSDDD, UFLPA, the EU Conflict Mineral Regulation, and the EU Battery Regulation.
Jan has been a member of the Steering Committee of the Responsible Minerals Initiative since 2024.
