Description
Isabel holds a PhD in Economics with 20 years of leadership experience in sustainable finance and policy development, with a focus on energy, climate and green growth;
Isabel is an expert on development finance, with a strong technical and financial understanding of the investment and advisory services offered by multilateral institutions, gained through a decade of working experience in several capacities at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
She's also an expert in design and implementation of programmes and policies aligned with the global sustainable development agenda and superior judgement to navigate the complex politics of international organizations. Wide network of contacts;
Since 2022, she is the Head of Impact at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), she she oversees the impact assessment of all EBRD investment's in energy, infrastructure and mining projects. In 2023, Isabel participated in the preparation of the new Mining Strategy for the period 2024-2028, which gave prominence to critical raw materials.
On top of EBRD's role, in 2020 Isabel was appointed Visiting Fellow in the London School of Economics. She also sits in the Supervisory Board of Nordex, one of the world's leading wind turbine manufacturers, headquartered in Germany.
