Description

Kata Tüttő, a Hungarian politician and economist, became President of the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) in February 2025, serving until mid-2027. She is a city councillor in Budapest with over 20 years in public service, focusing on empowering cities and regions in EU policymaking and promoting social and territorial cohesion. Formerly Budapest’s deputy mayor (2019–2024), she led sustainability efforts and now chairs key city utilities related to water management. A strong climate advocate, she has held major roles in EU environmental bodies and participated in COP27 and COP28.
