Description
This side event will bring together Ministers from OECD member and partner countries, international organisations, and key stakeholders in regional development to explore strategies for reconstruction and recovery. Discussions will focus on public investment with a territorial approach and the co-ordination of short-term disaster response with longer-term regional development. The event will highlight Ukraine’s current strategies and priority needs, while offering a platform to exchange good practices, tools, and policy approaches that can support national and subnational efforts.
It will also showcase innovative mechanisms Ukraine has developed to strengthen local-level disaster response and reconstruction. Topics will include how to prioritise subnational investments when resources are limited, design investment frameworks that reflect diverse territorial needs, leverage emerging technologies and data, and engage the private sector in recovery efforts.
