Description
Brief background: Steffen has been with the Foundation since 2016, where he has been
responsible for communications, stakeholder relations, public affairs and governmental
relations in both the Novo Nordisk Foundation and Novo Holdings
Previous experience: Owner and CEO of Mannov A/S, a large Nordic based PR and
communications agency for 25 years and part of the PR networks in WPP. Steffen has had
various boards and management positions in PR networks in Europe and US over time and is
still active as board member in foundations and companies. He has been a member of the
Board of the Danish Chamber of Commerce and International Chamber of Commerce for a
decade and is one of the founding members of the Danish Board Leadership Society. He also
teaches at the Copenhagen Business School Executive Board Education.
Education: Steffen studied biology at Copenhagen University before transitioning into a
position as Marketing Director at The Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies in 1986.
