Daniela Cepeda Tarud is a creative strategist, social activist, and innovation leader who has dedicated her life to breaking down barriers and transforming realities through human-centered, cultural, and collective approaches. A lawyer and political scientist from Universidad del Norte, with a Master's in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics, Daniela has consistently turned big ideas into concrete actions that create real impact. From her early days as Queen of the Barranquilla Carnival, she understood the power of making the invisible visible: she dignified the tradition bearers of the carnival and transformed a cultural celebration into a platform for cultural, economic, and community development. Later, as an advisor to the Mayor's Office of Barranquilla, she led integration strategies for migrant and vulnerable populations, designing programs like Barranquilla con Talante and Pa’lante, which proved that building more just cities is possible when bridges are built between sectors and communities. Her voice also resonates in business and international cooperation forums. As a board member of The Family Business Network in Colombia and a member of its global Sustainability Committee, she has promoted conscious and sustainable business practices. Her involvement with the EWO Foundation further reflects her commitment to well-being and education as cornerstones of development. All of these experiences led her to found Muttu Social Innovation, an organization that embodies her life’s purpose: to be a voice for the voiceless, to activate the potential of families, and to drive systemic change from the ground up. Through Muttu, Daniela continues to create opportunities where there were once limitations, showing that when barriers are broken down, lives can truly be transformed.
