Karelly is a lawyer specialized in Civil and Family Law. She had the opportunity to conduct research on plagiarism and copyright at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana (USA), focusing on how to protect creativity and intellectual property through academic development.
She is a member and delegate of the cooperative Cootracerrejón and currently serves on the Youth Committee of Confecoop Atlántico, where she actively promotes youth participation in the cooperative movement.
