Description
At United Way, we drive social innovation ecosystems that transform communities and improve lives — with a strong and intentional focus on educational innovation. In Colombia, through initiatives like our Lab Schools, we co-create with teachers and school communities to rethink education from the ground up with a STEAM emphasis.
Our Demonstration Centers act as real-world spaces where educational and community innovations are tested and shared benefiting early childhood. As partners in the Urban95 initiative, we help design cities that prioritize the wellbeing of young children and their caregivers. In 2024 alone, these efforts reached more than 60,000 direct beneficiaries, including children, youth, educators, caregivers, and local leaders across various regions of Colombia. Our methodology is rooted in co-creation, continuous learning, and scaling what works. We build bridges between the public sector, private companies, academia, and communities to not only generate immediate impact but also to cultivate long-term systemic change in education and early childhood development.
