Description

Lori Foster, Ph.D. is President of the International Association of Applied Psychology. A Professor of Psychology at North Carolina State University and Honorary Professor at the University of Cape Town, she leads the 4D Lab, which studies challenges at the intersection of work, psychology, technology, and sustainable development. She has engaged with organizations worldwide to apply psychology to help people and systems work effectively together to enhance well-being and performance. Her collaborations with the OECD, the United Nations, the European Commission, and the U.S. government have addressed areas such as workforce readiness, organizational effectiveness, and behavioural science for sustainable development. She currently serves as Chair of the World Health Organization’s Technical Advisory Group on Behavioural Sciences for Better Health. A scientist-practitioner, her work appears in leading journals and has informed initiatives across government, international agencies, and the private sector worldwide.
