Description
Alexandre Reis Siqueira Freire is Commissioner-Director at the Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel).
He is a Visiting Scholar at the Faculty of Law of Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main and holds a PhD in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUCSP), a Master’s degree in Law from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), and a Law degree from the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA).
He serves as President of the Superior Council of the Center for Advanced Studies in Digital Communication and Technological Innovation (CEADI/ANATEL) and presides over Anatel’s Telecommunications Infrastructure Committee (C-INT).
He was appointed by the Presidency of the Republic as a member of the National Commission for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under the UN 2030 Agenda and he also serves as a member of the Executive Group of the Brazilian Artificial Intelligence Plan (PBIA).
