Description
France Pégeot was appointed Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) on June 1, 2021.
With over 35 years of dedicated public service, Ms. Pégeot has established herself as a dynamic leader and an agent of change, driving innovation and transformation in every organization she has served. She brings extensive and diversified management experience, particularly in economic development, and regulatory reform.
Before joining the CTA, Ms. Pégeot served as Executive Vice-President of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. She previously held several Assistant Deputy Minister roles at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Justice Canada, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Industry Canada, and Economic Development for the Quebec Regions.
Earlier in her career, she broadened her perspective and experience through a visiting executive role in the oil and gas sector with Encana Corp. in Calgary.
She is currently the chair of the Organization of Economic Development and Cooperation’s Network of Economic Regulators.
Ms. Pégeot holds a Master’s degree in Policy Analysis and a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology, both from Laval University. In addition, she holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
