Carolina joined Anglo American in 2020 as Head of Legal Brazil and, in 2023, assumed the position of Head of Legal for the Americas. She was responsible for a major cultural and digital transformation in the Brazilian legal group, is a member of the Executive Board of the Brazilian unit, and a Counselor at Ferroport. She has more than 15 years of experience as an executive in the legal area, having started her career in the private sector and then, in the business area, as a lawyer at Kinross Brasil Mineração in 2010. Graduated in Law from FUMEC University, with an Executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh/USA, and refresher courses at Boston University and Yale. Carolina is an active member of the legal committees of IBRAM, FIEMG, and the Special Mineral Base Mining Committee of the National BAR Association. While leading Anglo´s team she has made it on to the list of top 10 Under 30 corporate lawyers/counsel by the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC). In 2023 Carolina assumed the leadership of the legal teams in Chile, Peru and Africa and recently of the Brazilian Permitting team.
