Biography

Kerstin Lundgren was elected as Third Deputy Speaker of the Swedish Parliament in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. She represents the Centre Party and has been a member of the Swedish Parliament since 2002. Kerstin Lundgren is a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and has been the Centre Party’s foreign policy spokesperson since 2006. She is a member of the Swedish delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. She has previously been a member of the Committee on the Constitution and also a deputy member of the Committee on Defence and the Committee on EU affairs. She was a member of the Swedish delegation to the Council of Europe in 2007-2018 where she was Deputy Chair of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE). Kerstin Lundgren holds a Bachelor degree in Political Science from Uppsala University and has a particular interest in international relations, security policy, constitutional matters and climate policy.
