OECD GPN Series Economic benefits of addressing mental health

Our Autumn series of thematic online sessions will start on Friday 10 October with an exchange on the Economic benefits of addressing mental health. This session, taking place on World Mental Health Day, will be the occasion to share the latest OECD work on the topic, with a particular emphasis on the publication Mental Health Promotion and Prevention, which will be released the day before.

The session will feature a presentation by Francesca Colombo, Head of Health Division, Directorate for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs, OECD, followed by an interactive dialogue.

Interpretation will be provided in English, French and Spanish.

This session is open to Members of Parliament and Parliamentary Officials.

This session will follow the launch of the new OECD report Governing with AI: The State of Play and Way Forward in Core Government Functions, which explores how governments can harness AI’s potential while managing its risks. The discussion will highlight how AI can enhance public service delivery, decision-making, and innovation, while addressing key challenges around transparency, accountability, and trust. 

The session will feature a presentation by Gillian Dorner, Deputy Director in the Public Governance Directorate of the OECD, followed by an interactive dialogue.
Interpretation will be provided in English, French and Spanish.
