Romain Svartzman is an economist within the Banque de France’s Climate Change Center, and a research associate at the Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP) of the University College London. His work focuses on the assessment of macroeconomic impacts and financial risks related to environmental issues, including climate change and biodiversity loss. He holds a PhD in environmental macroeconomics from McGill University (Canada) and a Masters in finance from Sciences Po, and he previously worked in green finance in the public and private sectors.
