As MSCI’s Global Head of ESG and Climate Indexes, Melissa McDonald is responsible for ensuring that MSCI’s dynamic product offering continues to align and evolve with investor needs around the world. Prior to joining MSCI in 2021, Melissa spent 10 years at HSBC Asset Management as Global Head of Product – Equities and Responsible Investment, where she led the firm’s equity capability as well as their responsible investment strategy across asset classes globally. From 2015 to 2020, she was also a key member of HSBC's Climate Business Council, overseeing climate business strategy for the entire HSBC Group. Previously, she spent 10 years at AXA Investment Managers where she was Global Head of Responsible Investment.
