Description

Mr Sung Don Cho is the Chief Executive Officer of the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency (KORAD). Mr Cho has had a long career at KORAD serving in various key departments, such as being the Vice President of Administration Division (2018), Director of Planning and Coordination Department (2015), Director of Performance Management Department (2013), and Director of Strategy and Planning Department (2011). He received the prestigious Award of Trade, Industry and Energy Minister, acknowledged for development of the nuclear field. He holds a Master of Marine Transport Management from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, along with a Bachelor of Trade and Commerce from Gwangwoon University

NEA membership consists of 34 countries representing 80% of the world's installed nuclear electricity generating capacity. The mission of the NEA is to assist its member countries in maintaining and further developing, through international co-operation, the scientific, technological and legal bases required for a safe, environmentally sound and economical use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
