Description

Dr Chang-Lak Kim is the Executive Dean and Professor at the KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School in Ulsan, Korea. He has over 30 years’ experience working in the radioactive waste disposal and management field, beginning as a Senior Principal Researcher at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute in 1987. He has held key appointments throughout his career, such as Director of Safety Assessment, Director of Planning & Strategy Department at the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency, and Head of Radioactive Waste Disposal Research Group at Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. Ltd for over 10 years. Prior to this current appointment, Dr Kim served as the Vice-President, and President of the Korean Radioactive Waste Society successively from 2014 40 2019, and today continues to contribute as a valued advisor. Dr Kim holds a PhD In Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkley, United States.
