Description
Yeonhee Hah is Vice President for Global Activities at the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety.
With over 30 years of extensive expertise, Ms. Hah has excelled in various areas, including international cooperation, public communication, education and training, regulatory policy and development, and interaction with diverse stakeholders.
From 2010 to April 2014, Ms. Hah chaired the NEA Committee on Nuclear Regulatory Activities Working Group on Public Communication of Nuclear Regulatory Organizations. Following this role, from 2015 to 2020, she held the position of Head of the Division of Radiological Protection and Human Aspects of Nuclear Safety at the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA). In this capacity, she provided secretariat services for the Forum on Stakeholder Confidence under the Radioactive Waste Management Committee. Additionally, she contributed as a member of the Gender Balance Task Group under the NEA Steering Committee (SC) and the International Gender Champion Impact Group on Gender Equality in Nuclear Regulatory Agencies under the IAEA.
Currently, Ms. Hah serves as the Korean representative to the NEA Steering Committee (SC). Recently, she has been actively involved in the NEA International Conference on Geological Repositories as a programme committee member.
A Korean national, Ms. Hah holds a master’s degree in Communications from Ewha Women's University.
