Description

Mr. Kenichi KAKU has educational background on Civil Engineering (Hydraulics). Between April 1990 and December 2000 he worked for a Japanese construction company and involved in R&D works, tunnel construction projects in Japan and Asian countries. He was then attached to one of the Japanese research organization, RWMC and involved in the High Level Radioactive Waste Management project. He has then changed the job and entered Nagra, Swiss implementer for radioactive waste disposal. At Nagra he was involved in RD&D works and international collaboration works between April 2001 and June 2009. Since August 2009 he has been working for Nuclear Waste Management Organization of Japan (NUMO) and has been involved in both technical works and public relation works. With the current position in Science and Technology Department of Nuclear Waste Management Organization of Japan (NUMO), he is mainly involved in international collaboration works and also public communication on DGR project.
