Description

Dr. Donghak Kook has studied nuclear fuel for master degree and focused on spent nuclear fuel for doctor degree. He has worked in spent fuel R&D program at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute for 23 years. He has worked 5 years for pyroprocess, another 5 years for geologic disposal, and 13 years for spent fuel dry storage. Now, he is in charge of spent fuel integrity evaluation R&D project.

NEA membership consists of 34 countries representing 80% of the world's installed nuclear electricity generating capacity. The mission of the NEA is to assist its member countries in maintaining and further developing, through international co-operation, the scientific, technological and legal bases required for a safe, environmentally sound and economical use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
