Description

I, Samuel Park, am currently a Ph.D. at Seoul National University. I received my bachelor’s degree from Chung-Ang university and my master’s degree from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). I have focused on the disposal of High-Level Waste through experiments and simulations. Particularly, I am highly interested in the High temperature repository design, aiming to increase disposal efficiency to enhance the public acceptance. Therefore, I am currently participating in the international project HoTBENT to simulate thermal and hydraulic behavior within high temperature repository design. In addition, I have measured TH properties of the Engineered Barrier System including bentonite and backfilled material, to incorporate into my simulations.
