Description

Markéta studied Geotechnics and Underground Constructions at the Technical University of Ostrava. She has been working for the Czech Radioactive Waste Repository Authority (SURAO) since 2009, first as a technical development specialist and later as head of the project design and engineering activities department. In her position, she was responsible for determining the technical design of the future Czech DGR and was taking an active part in a range of national and international projects related to the demonstration of the long-term safety of the technical components of deep geological repositories. Now she is responsible for the programme development of the deep geological repository in the Czech Republic and mainly for the selection of the final site for the repository
