Junior labour market economist

Description

Annelore Verhagen is an economist at the OECD, where she works in the Skills team of the Directorate for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs. She will moderate the panel discussion on “Leveraging technology in adult learning”. Recently, she published an OECD working paper on the opportunities and drawbacks of using Artificial Intelligence for the education and training of adults. More generally, her work in the team focuses on the measurement of skill needs in the labour market, identifying how, why and for whom skill needs change over time, and how adults' regular participation in learning activities can prepare them for this changing world of work. Annelore has over ten years of experience in policy evaluations related to skills, cognitive development, and health behaviour. Before joining the OECD in 2018, she was a researcher at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA). She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Radboud University Nijmegen, and will soon defend her doctoral dissertation in Economics at Maastricht University.
