Description

Economist with a Master´s Degree from the Free University of Berlin and Postgraduate Studies at the German Development Institute. Specialization in International Finance from the University of North Carolina in the US. Career started at the World Bank in topics related to private provision of infrastructure, later responsibilities in the Colombian Government at the National Planning Department as Division Head of the Units of Entrepreneurial Development and Infrastructure, leading efforts in private investment in road concessions, electricity projects, cellular mobile telephone provision, and development of the hydrocarbon sector. Held thereafter several executive positions in the energy sector in Colombia and the US, including Executive Vice-president of Petrocolombia, Country Manager of TransCanada Pipelines, and Executive Vice-president of Sithe Energies, subsidiary of the Blackstone Group in New York. More recently Country Manager of AngloGold Ashanti for Colombia, and Vice-president of Operations and Sustainability of the Oil and Gas Association in Colombia. Member of several Board of Directors, including former Chairman of the Board of the Bogotá Energy Group. Currently Vice-president for Project Structuring and Investment Banking at the Colombian Development Bank - Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional.
