Description
Ms. Tiina Jalonen, Master of Science in Process Engineering, has been widely engaged in Posiva's final disposal programme for over two decades. Today her responsibilities include development and licencing of the disposal concept including the natural barrier and the engineered barrier system, site confirmation studies, long-term safety of the final disposal, the safety case, rock characterization for design and construction of the final disposal facility and Olkiluoto site monitoring.
Ms Jalonen is actively working in international networks of final disposal, and currently acts as the Chair of the IGD-TP Executive Group, a coordination group for European Nuclear Waste Management Organizations.
