Description
Mr Piet Zuidema has a degree in civil and environmental engineering. He worked for more than 30 years at Nagra - the Swiss organisation responsible for developing disposal solutions in Switzerland. Before retiring from Nagra, he was Director of Science and Technology for 20 years. Besides overlooking R & D in Science and Technology, he was also in charge of many of the big projects of Nagra, including site selection. Mr Zuidema was also member of several international working groups and of several advisory boards. Since his retirement, he works as Senior Advisor for several organisations. Currently, he also acts as Chief Scientific Officer of EURAD, the European Joint Programme on Radioactive Waste Management
