Description
Mr Tim Vietor is a geologist, who studied and obtained his PhD at the University of Göttingen. His main focus was Tectonic.
Between 1999 and 2005, Mr Vietor was a post-doc at Geoforschungszentrum Potsdam, where he undertookesearch on numerical modelling of orogenic processes. His focus was Program Andes.
From 2005 onwards, Mr Vietor worked as a Project Manager Rock Mechanics at Nagra, National Cooperative for the Disposal of Radioactive Waste (Switzerland, Headquarter in Wettingen close to Zurich). Since 2011, he was Section Head site Investigation at Nagra, where he led site investigation works (2D-, 3D-Seismics, deep and shallow geothermal wells, underground rock lab experiments).
In 2016, Mr Vietor started his current position as Division Head Safety, Geology & Radioactive Materials and Executive Board Member at Nagra.
