Description

Ms Nuria Prieto Serrano is a philologist and lawyer, with 20 years of experience in the field of radioactive waste management. She started her career as an intern for the European Commission when negotiations for the so called “Nuclear Package” were ongoing (2002-2003). After that, she started working in Enresa, the Spanish Waste Management Organization, where she has held different positions within the legal department and in international relations. Ms Prieto Serrano was detached temporarily as a national expert to the European Commission during the period of negotiations and adoption of the Nuclear Waste Directive (2011). She represents her company in international fora such as ENSREG Working Group 2 or the Nuclear Law Committee at OECD-NEA. She is Bureau member of the Forum on Stakeholders Confidence of OECD-NEA, Chair of INLA Working Group 5 on radioactive waste and decommissioning and participant at several groups at IAEA, OECD-NEA, etc. She is also a lecturer at the master on Energy law at ENERCLUB /Club Español de la Energía.
