Michael W. Hodin, Ph.D. is the CEO of the Global Coalition on Aging, the leading business voice on aging policy and strategy, aimed at reshaping how global leaders approach and prepare for the 21st century's profound shift in population aging. Mike is also a Managing Partner at High Lantern Group a strategic communications firm. Prior to his current roles, Hodin was a senior executive at Pfizer, Inc. for 30 years, leading its International Public Affairs and Policy Operations. From 1976 to 1980, he was Legislative Assistant to Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan. During this period he was also a Visiting Scholar at Brookings Institution, on U.S. Foreign Economic Policy. Hodin sits on the Boards of the Foreign Policy Association, Business Council for International Understanding, The NYC Blood Center, American Skin Association, Harris Manchester College, Oxford University, UK, Emigrant Savings Bank and Georgetown University's Landeggar Program for International Business Diplomacy. In 2006, he served as a private sector delegate representing the USG to the UN Environment Conference on Sustainable Development. Hodin holds a BA, cum laude, Cornell University, M.Sc.in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and M.Phil and Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University. He has written and lectured extensively on foreign policy subjects at Columbia, Georgetown and Oxford Universities and is the author of “U.S. Foreign Trade Policy: The Case of Steel.”
