Esti Shelly is Director of the Digital Health Division of the Israeli Ministry of Health and leads the digital health initiative in the Israeli health care system. She is responsible for driving digital transformation and leading policy, implementation and change alongside a diverse team with a range of skills and expertise. In her previous position, she served as Deputy Director of the Medical Technology, Health Information and Research Directorate of the Israeli Ministry of Health. She led projects such as the national programme to increase accessibility and availability of magnetic resonance exams, and was involved in policy-making in various fields, especially focusing on medical exposure to ionizing radiation, as well as international collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency in the field of medical technologies. Ms Shelly holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, United States of America, and a Master’s in Technology Management and Bachelor’s in Medical Sciences from the Hebrew University, Israel.
