Dr Deveny is an experienced Australian health leader with a strong commitment to providing sustainable and equitable health outcomes for all, and a demonstrated ability to build productive partnerships with key stakeholders and the broader community. She works across media, government and health to amplify the voice of citizens and assert the right of citizens to have a say in how healthcare systems work for them. Dr Deveny is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Consumers Health Forum of Australia, the independent national peak body for health consumers. Until recently Elizabeth was also the Chair of the Australian Digital Health Agency Board; the Agency aims to create a collaborative environment which accelerates adoption and use of innovative digital services and technologies. Dr Deveny’s career has ranged across many domains of health, with a focus on primary health care. It includes establishing primary health care commissioning organisations, implementing new models of primary health care, and working as a public speaker, lecturer and researcher in healthcare. She holds a Masters in Health Education and a PhD in Medicine (digital health & primary care), both from Melbourne University.
