Professor Orazio Schillaci, MD physician, is the Minister of Health in the government led by Giorgia Meloni since October 2022.
He is a full professor of Nuclear Medicine. He has served as the Rector of Tor Vergata University until October 2022 and as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the same university.
In 2020, he was appointed as a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian National Health Institute. He has held positions in numerous scientific organizations and is the author of over 350 peer-reviewed scientific publications, as well as a member of several editorial boards of international scientific journals.
