Catherine Vautrin

Minister for Labour, Health and Solidarities

Catherine Vautrin was appointed Minister for Labour, Health and Solidarities on 11 January 2024 in the Government led by Prime Minister Gabriel Attal. Until then, she was President of the Greater Reims Urban Community (since 2017) and of the National Agency for Urban Renewal (since 2022). Between 2002 and 2007, she had already held government posts, in charge of integration and equal opportunities, the elderly and then social cohesion and parity. A Member of Parliament from 2002 to 2004 and again from 2007 to 2017, she was Vice-President of the National Assembly from 2008 to 2017. She was Vice-Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee on Economic Affairs (2008-2017). During her time at the National Assembly, she chaired the Delegation for International Activities. Catherine Vautrin holds a master's degree in business law and has worked as a marketing manager.
