Description
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and a Ph.D. in Social Sciences and Humanities from the Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM). During President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s administration, he served as Head of the Labor Policy and Institutional Relations Unit at the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS); he also held the position of Undersecretary of Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Economy. As Undersecretary for Good Governance, he focuses on restoring and professionalizing careers in public service through training programs, enhanced trust-based controls, and recognition of integrity. One of his main goals is to support Mexico's federal agencies, especially those implementing priority programs, to ensure continuous improvement, efficient use of resources, and the prevention of irregularities. He also works with the private sector and civil society to promote a culture of integrity through a shared responsibility approach.
