Description
Paola Severino is President of the National School of Administration.
She is also President of the Luiss School of Law and Professor Emeritus of Criminal Law at the Luiss Guido Carli University, having previously held the positions of Vice President, Rector, Deputy Pro-Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University. She is a member of the Technical-Scientific Committee of the National Cybersecurity Agency, co-President of the Scientific Committee and Representative of Italian Citizens for the Conference on the Future of Europe, President of the Supervisory Board of the PNRR established at the Ministry of University and Research. She has been awarded the honors of Cavaliere di Gran Croce and Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur. She received an Honorary Degree in Law from the University of Glasgow and an Honorary Doctorate in Public Administration Sciences from the University of Messina. She was appointed by the Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni and the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron as a member of the Italian-French Committee, composed of six wise men for the drafting of the "Quirinale Treaty". She was Special Representative of the OSCE Chairmanship for the fight against corruption from January 2018 to December 2020, Minister of Justice in the Monti Government and Vice President of the Superior Council of the Military Judiciary from 1997 to 2001. She is a speaker at numerous national and international conferences and scientific meetings on the topics of Criminal Law, Economic Criminal Law and Cybersecurity. A cassation lawyer, she carries out consultancy and defense activities in the field of Economic Criminal Law.
