Description
Damir Habijan was born on 4 January 1982 in Varaždin. In 2007 he graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb. From 2007 to 2020 he was employed as an attorney in a law firm.
He has professional expertise in corporate and commercial law, in the field of finance and credit institutions, as well as trademark protection procedures and litigation.
He was elected Member of the Croatian Parliament in 2020 where he served on the Committee on the Economy, the Legislation Committee, the Committee on the Constitution, Standing Orders and Political System, the Judiciary Committee, and as Deputy Chairperson of the National Council for Monitoring Anti-Corruption Strategy Implementation. From December 2023 to May 2024 he served as Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of the Republic of Croatia, and as of May 2024 he holds the position of Minister of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation.
