Mr. Miran Ali is a leading garment sector entrepreneur in Bangladesh, heading the Bitopi Group, as Managing Director. Two of his factories are rated LEED Platinum, Remi Holdings Ltd. and Tarasima Apparels Ltd., and rank among the highest rated factories in the world. He is a Vice President at the BGMEA, Director of the RMG Sustainability Council (the RSC, successor to the Accord) and Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic in Bangladesh. Miran Ali has a passion for corporate social responsibility, environmentalism and safer workplaces. Mr. Ali’s ideology sets an exemplary milestone for Bangladesh and demonstrates that business & environment co-exist and emphasizes sustainability one of the key factors for any business to succeed. His family holdings also include the oldest advertising agency in Bangladesh, Bitopi Advertising, IT and media businesses. He holds a BA from the Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA from the University of Bristol and the École nationale des ponts et chaussées.
