Senior Sustainability Coordinator
After five years of working as a journalist for the German Public Broadcasting Station, SWR, Joscha Hoffmann decided to explore the world. During his stays in the USA, France, South Africa and India, Joscha's focus evolved around the question of why a person’s destiny mostly depends on the surroundings they are born into and not their skills or approach to life. As a consequence, he focused on international development. After working for the GIZ and an NGO, Joscha joined the Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ), where he worked on the German Partnership on Sustainable Textiles. Hooked on the idea that sustainable supply chains can have a better impact than development projects, he considered for the first time in his life to work for a corporation. In 2018 he joined Waschbär as Senior Sustainability Coordinator where he focuses on improving working conditions throughout the textile supply chain.
