The session hopes to achieve awareness around the meaning of “net zero” target setting and Scope 3 GHG emissions in the context of chemicals, given that chemistry plays such a significant role in the manufacture of garments and footwear. The actions underway in the industry to measure environmental impact using LCA methodology and to replace fossil fuel based materials in order to meet the collective commitment of the supply chain to reduce Scope 3 emissions, will also be discussed.
