Jenny Ählström is heading the Norwegian program on public procurement and human rights at the Agency for Public and Financial Management, under the Ministry of Finance. She is responsible for the development of criteria, requirements and contract-follow up tools and templates for contracting authorities (which are to be found at the public procurement digital hub: https://www.anskaffelser.no/public-procurement/socially-responsible-public-procurement ). Jenny has priorly worked as a researcher specialized in the area of business and human rights. In her PhD thesis, she analyzed, using H&M as a case study, how the interaction between civil society and business constructs the ongoing narrative understanding of what is to be included (or excluded) in the concept of business and human rights. Jenny has a Master of Science in Business and Economics from Stockholm School of Economics.
