Senior Director, Global Environment
Tracy is Senior Director of the Global Environmental Program for adidas; a position she has held since October 2015. She manages a team of 14 staff, comprising of carbon, renewable energy, chemical and environmental experts, located in 9 countries across Asia, EMEA, North and South America. Tracy has over 20 years’ global experience in leading environmental and social issues within the supply chain for global multinational companies. Recognised for her expertise in developing and implementing global sustainability strategies, coupled with the ability to utilize sustainability concepts to drive business performance. Tracy is currently serving as a member of the following expert committees: • Steering committee for the UNFCCC (United Nation Fashion Industry Charter for Climate). o The UNFCCC goes beyond previous industry-wide commitments. It includes a target of 30% GHG emission reductions by 2030 and a commitment to analyze and set a decarbonization pathway for the fashion industry drawing on methodologies from the Science-Based Targets Initiative. o The Steering Co. of the Charter works collaboratively to deliver on the principles, amplify best practices, strengthen existing efforts, identify and address gaps, facilitate and strengthen collaboration among relevant stakeholders, and join resources and share tools to enable the sector to achieve its climate targets. This will be done through Working Groups, which will bring together relevant stakeholders, experts and initiatives in the fashion and broader textile sector, in which Tracy also co-chairs the Manufacturing and Energy working group. • GIZ - FABRIC Advisory Board Member • Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) task group whose goal is to eliminate the use of priority chemicals. Tracy holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science from Lund University (LUMES), Sweden; a Bachelor in Environmental Studies and Economic Development from the University of Western Ontario, London Canada.
