Description

Stephanie Trapnell is a global sociologist working on issues of transparency and anticorruption, democratization, and development. Her policy work is focused on public sector governance and democratic processes, with recent projects in renewable energy and natural resources, defense and security, information and open data, and gender and social justice. For the past 15 years, she has specialized in conducting and distilling research into policy insights for more effective and equitable systems. She is also an expert methodologist, combining both quantitative and qualitative approaches for a variety of measurement projects at both multilateral institutions and non- governmental organizations. Stephanie is affiliate faculty at George Mason University, where she obtained her PhD in sociology.
