Asia Director and Anti-corruption Lead
Description
Marie Gay Alessandra leads the EITI’s work on anti-corruption, namely on beneficial ownership and contract transparency. She also provides strategic direction for EITI implementation in Asia Pacific, Eurasia and the Middle East.
Prior to joining the International Secretariat, Gay was the National Coordinator of Philippine EITI. She also worked for the Philippine government in various positions in the executive branch and the judiciary as a lawyer. She has expertise in public policy, anti-corruption and extractive sector governance.
Gay earned her LL.B and B.A. in Political Science from the University of the Philippines.
