Dr. Magnus Öhman has worked on anti-corruption and political finance issues in more than 45 countries since the 1990s, specializing in effective disclosure and oversight, sustainable solutions for transparency and accountability and reducing abuse of state resources and political corruption. He has researched both country and macro-level trends and practices and assisted legislators, oversight institutions, civil society, media outlets and political parties. He is the lead author of the Building Resources in Democracy, Governance and Elections (BRIDGE) curriculum module on political finance, and he steered the development of IFES’ Political Finance Implementation Toolkit and Political Finance Oversight Database.
