Biography
Mark created and leads the UK government's Counter Fraud Function. This is a cross government Function that brings together the 16,000 public servants who work to fight fraud in the UK government to create common approaches and standards and deliver cross government services to support public bodies in finding and fighting fraud. This has resulted in an increase in detected fraud of 243% and benefits of £100ms in fraud reductions. A key piece of this work has been the creation and introduction of the world's first Government Counter Fraud Profession. Before this role Mark was the head of Counter Fraud for the UKs legal aid system.
