Mathilde Mesnard

Biography

Mathilde is Deputy Director for Financial and Enterprise Affairs of the OECD, which supports the OECD mission by working with policy makers to foster fair and efficient markets. In her capacity as Deputy Director, Ms. Mesnard oversees the Directorate’s work on business conduct standards across responsible business conduct, anti-corruption, corporate governance and corporate finance. Previously, she was Coordinator of the New Approaches to Economic Challenges (NAEC) Initiative and Senior Advisor to the OECD Secretary-General. She launched an OECD-wide project on integrity and anti-corruption. From 2001-2009, she was an economist working on corporate governance and developed the OECD Guidelines on corporate governance of SOEs. Ms. Mesnard previously held positions as management consultant with Deloitte & Touche and Financial Analyst at Citibank. She holds a PhD in Economics from the EHESS, a Master’s Degree in Finance from the ESCP, and an MBA from Drexel University.
