Description
As lobbying practices continue to evolve, with new channels of influence, sharing good practices between regulators is particularly important to ensure that countries have appropriate safeguards.
The OECD Network of Lobbying Regulators brings together the public authorities responsible for designing, overseeing and enforcing lobbying rules across OECD member and partner countries, at both national and subnational levels, including governments currently developing their regulatory frameworks. Through this broad membership, the Network supports countries in advancing the OECD Recommendation on Transparency and Integrity in Lobbying and Influence and in learning from the experiences of jurisdictions with more advanced systems.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to share recent legislative and institutional reforms in this space, discuss emerging challenges, and identify practical solutions to ensure that lobbying transparency and integrity standards remain fit for purpose. The Secretariat will also present a proposal on the Network’s future direction and work programme.
